Baisically it's glorified cartoons. I believe (Don't quote me on this) they have to be made in Japan (might strech to say Korea and that sort of area...) to be classed as 'anime'. Anime generally has a certain style. Usually people with large eyes and minimal facial features. Character detail isn't always a main focus but the plot line is. They usually have gravity defying hair too, and quite often in odd colours such as blue or green. People tend to be drawn slim and sort of angular unless they're female which for some reason that i haven't figured out yet they like to give huge busts! Young men and often older are drawn to be very pretty sometimes almost girly and these are called 'bishonen' i think that letterally means 'pretty boys' or something like that. There are certain things that i've found that only seem to occur in certain types of anime (there are different genres but thats too much detail for now) like the appearence of 'sweat drops' or anger lines. Quite often somethings that the characters do are impossible like literally topple over or jump ten foot in the air. Pokemon is a good example of a lot of this. Ok that will do for the lesson for now. I can't promise that everything is acurate i'm not the 'expert'! But any questions just ask :)

I dont know about anyone else yet....I am not very familiar with it, other than the fact that I have made anime avatars from people in Paint Shop Pro using tubes. Tell us a bit more....

If you haven't guessed I LOVE anime. It's my friends fault they got me really into it. So yeah, anyone else?
