Gosh! a lot of very harsh comments on the DS website about the single, arent there? General consensus seems to be that the song isnt that great and the video is verging on soft porn...oh dear....this must be why Chanelle isnt too happy at the moment.

hi cara very interesting post i dont think it would surprise you if i said i really like chanelle lol i also post on cat. I think the reason chanelle is so popular or unpopular if you want depending on someones view is because of a few things imho she is polite, extremely hard working, talented, very pretty, not big headed,came out of the house not expecting to much(unlike some !) i also feel she as a story of life some can relate to be it her tragic start in life or the way she feels she cant do things but she as gain confidence as she goes along so that as improved a lot thankfully also i feel she as a great sense of humour and is always prepared to laugh at herself which is not a bad thing imho. I cant really comment on other housemate because i have never been interested in them and really cant be bothered to show an interest in their careers etc. I did quite like a couple of housemates in chbb but i feel that was a totally different kind of show . Anyway have to go loads to do hope your well and happy speak soon love janx

Some questions for the most prolific BB watchers or Media Junkies.

The DS CAT has had almost 2.6 million views and over 84 thousand posts. That is staggering compared to the rest, even Brian. I have observed also the numerous responses when Chanelle appears on other websites. Is this a record for a BB exHM or has someone else in all of BB achieved so much interest?

I ask, because from a Media interest, no other exBB contestant appears to be provoking or demonstrating the same interest from viewers and posters.

I have never had time personally for BB7 Nikki, couldn't understand her popularity as I perceived her as lazy and talentless, but recognise she did have a large following.

This is all new to me, but perceive it as very bizarre circumstance. Interesting how things transpire.

Also, if an exBBHM, shall we say, doesn't quite succeed as well, is it normal for thm to be subsequently negatively portrayed in the Media? As Brian and Nikki were this last week, i.e. drunk and out of control. Charley for instance has been shown in a very similar negative light. Ziggy too has been portrayed of late as having not quite lived up to whatever people expected, e.g. adherence to the word 'failed' before any noun in a lot of things you read. His defense of his career aspirations also have been more than discussed on various forums. I do not see much of Liam or the twins , who were part of the last four BB8 to come out, but that said, I have not seen anything particularly negative about them either.

Are the Media now showing certain BB8 FMs as their 15 minutes is now over?

Obviously, with so much going on with Chanelle of late, both Mediawise and musically, I cannot include her in this category. Not saying it might not happen, but at this juncture she certainly isn't there yet.

From a Behavioural Science point of view, the current status of the, shall we say the most popular HMs of BB8, is very interesting.

In terms of their press coverage and general interest, I would put forward a list as follows:

Clear Leader - Chanelle
2nd - Ziggy
3rd - Twins
Joint 4th - Liam and Brian

I may be entirely wrong, but I am sure you BB Media junkies will put me right on a few things.

Will any of them survive at all after BB9 HMs have been released from the BBH?

Please put forward thoughtful, tangible, justified or informed responses?

I prefer BB USA and Survivor myself but do tend to dip in and out of BB UK...wasnt a huge Chiggy fan myself (unlike Julia!) so found that a bit boring, but I do like Chanelle.

Because i was on the sick after a bypass i watched bb8 from when Carol got up ..to when the last person went to bed..the whole series....there is no way i could do that again...my home looked like a bomb had hit it..i managed to clean and wash the dishes 10 mins before o/h came home from work lol...after saying all that i cant wait for bb9 :-)

Tell me about it Paula i really hope i can just stick to a few hrs viewing i made myself ill last year with the lack of sleep. Its gonna take alot for me to enjoy it like BB8.
