Every text box on the site has a small toolbar on the top: The funny squiggle between the S and the image button allows you to add a link. It is meant to represent a link in a chain, by the way.

Copy the link url (address) of the page you wish to link to from the browser address bar first, then when you click on the squiggle as shown above; a dialog box appears allowing you to paste the url in.
The http:// is already done for you but if you have copied from the address bar, it might have copied that as well so you will have two of them and the link wont work.
Just delete or backspace out one of the 'http://' and the link should work.
The link address will appear without any link text and you have to type a link name in between the opening and closing tags. Our example shows a link to the BBC website so we would probably want to type BBC as our link text. It is better not to use 'here' or 'click here' as your link text if possible, because it is not very descriptive or helpful for disabled users. The name of the page, image, article or website is much more useful.
