Hello,
My name is Doris Anne Beaulieu. I have a website-Life’s Ultimate Test dot com-on which you can learn more about my mission to change the face of home schooling.
I attended a parochial school as a child in the 1950's. In this Catholic school I was sheltered from the realities of the world around me-from swearing, from public displays of affection, from slang. These are often some of the same things that modern home schooling parents aim to protect their children from. A superior court judg…

Well, it's nice to be back. My computer crashed. For some reason I keep getting error message that my drives are not connected. After changing the plugs etc I finally got the recovery console up only to find out that all was gone. It was strange but oh well. I'm not sure why my MB has a problem with my sata drives but it has for quite a while now.
Maybe I can get in to do some things now. I just have to restore some backups so that I have "stuff" to do. Good to be back.

I just added some music to my page. It's a variety of stuff I have on my computer. My music interests range from classical to heavy metal & nearly everything in between. So if you like music stop in when you have time & see what I've put up. I'll be changing it when I have the time.

It's been the talk of the week. They all go on about how original it is. Hey!!!!!!!! Have nobody looked at Halle Berry. Shes sported the very same haircut for years. And in my opinion Halle looks much better with it. I dont think this style suits Victoria at all. Her bob looked much better, gave her a much softer look. Now she just looks harsh.

Honestly, what ever happened to our summer? Did anyone see it? We waited and waited for some decent weather so we could do some of the work we had planned for this summer, but tere was never enough let up to risk starting any major work. The only thing we managed to do was build a shed. We had planned to extend the deckhouse, but that has to be put on hold now. Soooooooo irritating. Reason we would like to extend the deckhouse is to incorporate the flu inside so we can get the heat from the wood…

Just wanted to say how thrilled I am that R2 is attracting members from around the globe now. I am very enthusiastic about the
'world-wide web' and have been making friends internationally elsewhere for years. It is lovely that we now have members from Norway, Croatia, and the US as well as England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. I have been making new friends on Myspace recently and hope to persuade some of them to join us here. Janice has arrived today *waves!* and there is a nice Aussie…

When we ordered the tickets this time, we decided to go for a later flight than we normally do. Our usual flight is at 6.25 in the morning. And we are always rushing to make it. So we left home at 11.15 the night before. Took the train in to Brighton to catch the National express up to Stanstead. We fly with Ryanair coz its cheaper for us. And its more convenient for my parents to pick us up since we land at a small airport closer to where they live.
Ok so we get off the train, and walk down to…

As many of you will know, I am currently steeped, absorbed, obsessed..tick all that apply - in my undergraduate dissertation which is a detailed research project that I have to complete in order to graduate from Uni with my BSc degree in July. Woohoo!!
Returning to education and learning when one is a little more mature *cough* than the average undergraduate sitting next to you in lectures, is a rather daunting prospect but is also an enormously challenging and rewarding experience.
I was first…

Just to let all new members know that we have a lot more groups than just the ones featured on the main page. Click on
Groups on the main navigation bar to browse them all. You can join as many as you like and please feel free to start discussions in any of them. The more that members contribute to groups, the more interesting and/or informative they will become.
If you would like to create a new group or have one created for you, j…

Since I wrote the original blog post, activity has picked up, more members have joined us and some of you have added comments to the fact that you often pass through but don't always have the time to post. Therefore, a quick hello in the comments below serves as a roll-call thread and tells me that I am not completely alone in here..lol
Please also feel free to leave your suggestions for improvements, new features, groups etc, if you have a spare few minutes.

Update: A few of us have started to meet up in the Daily Chat Thread in the Coffee Bar now but it would be even better if more of you joined in.
Around half of our members have joined the Coffee Bar Group so far and we need you all to join if poss so we can get some lively discussions going.
Don't be shy now....if you have nothing to say, a simple 'hi how are you?' is perfectly acceptable and will get you started in chatting to to other members and meeting people.…

New Features:
Last week Ning upgraded their network and added new
FAQ and
Events sections.
I spent the weekend working on these features and we now have an About Us/FAQ section with an intro page on who we are and what you can do onsite; leading to a list of FAQs which are, in effect mini-tutorials showing you how to do the basics...use smilies, change yo…

:UPDATE:
Extra content has been added to some of our groups now in the form of rss newsfeeds, photos, and widgets.
I have also started some discussions in group forums but members are reminded that they are able to start their own discussions in any group forum, as long as it is reasonably on-topic for the group. The coffee bar is the place for all off-topic chat.
Other groups will also be updated as time permits.
Why not have another browse through them now and perhaps join a few more?
In the…

t would be a good idea if we all had an avatar uploaded as many of us did in the ZaC forum and as we all do on myspace, as this network displays members by photo and so far we have a row of grey men!
What you choose is up to you really....a pic of yourself is nice but if you are shy, something else will do fine.
Remember that it will appear beside everything you do, so think carefully what you want to see. That is why I am using an initial rather than my own pic because I do not want to see my…
